Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Repair Technician to install, educate, and service vending and merchandising equipment at client sites across the region. The role emphasizes strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, customer interaction, and adherence to safety and vehicle policies.

You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and building long-term client relationships, with opportunities for training and growth within a family-oriented company.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers.
• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area.
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment.
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs.
• Remove outdated and unused equipment.
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment.
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships.
• Order parts needed to complete repairs.
