Job summary

American Food & Vending seeks a Refreshment Service Technician in Grand Prairie, TX to service and repair vending and beverage equipment at client sites. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, clean, and compliant operations.

You’ll work with a team of route drivers and service staff, traveling in a company van, providing excellent customer service while maintaining logs and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate-level training in electronics, mechanics, or related field.
• 2–3 years in equipment maintenance or vending/kiosk/POS repair.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to visit client locations for repair, maintenance, and installation of vending machines and beverage dispensers.
• Respond promptly to service calls, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of vending, beverage, coffee, water, and micro market equipment.
• Conduct systematic inspections of motors, keypads, cooling systems, electrical wiring, and water connections to ensure peak equipment performance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machine components such as pressure gauges and thermostats.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards for all machines and surrounding service areas.
• Manage parts inventory, place orders for necessary repair components, and maintain accurate service documentation and maintenance logs.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with applicable plumbing, electrical, and health and safety regulations.
• Safely transport equipment to and from repair facilities as needed.
• Maintain company vehicles and tools in clean, organized, and working condition.
• Collaborate closely with route drivers, fellow technicians, and customer service teams to deliver exceptional client support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
