We are looking for a Transportation Specialist to join our teams across Florida locations including Gainesville, Naples, North Miami, and Key West.

The incumbent will be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of vehicles. This position requires 100% interstate and local travel.

Responsibilities

1. Determine daily vehicle pick-up and delivery routes.
2. Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment functionality.
3. Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions, following signals and ensuring proper positioning.
4. Verify delivery instructions and routes.
5. Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle status, complying with regulations.
6. Report vehicle defects, accidents, violations, or damages.
7. Secure cargo using ropes, chains, or covers.
8. Weigh vehicles at stations to document weights and ensure compliance.
9. Obtain signatures and payments for delivered vehicles as required.
10. Inspect vehicles for quantity and condition before moving.
11. Follow safety procedures for vehicle transport.
12. Operate communication equipment to exchange information.
13. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
14. Check trailer conditions post-unloading for damages.
15. Read bills of lading and verify documentation.
16. Use maps and GPS for route planning.
17. Secure vehicles on trailers.
18. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and operate related equipment.
19. Wrap and secure cargo.
