CarMax, the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, is hiring a Mechanical Associate in West Point, VA. You’ll inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet our high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on feet for extended periods.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax quality standards.
• Collaborate with a team to solve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Uphold CarMax’s commitment to customer satisfaction and trust.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
