Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate in West Point, VA. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, ensuring top safety and reliability while applying best-practice reconditioning.

The role supports both domestic and foreign models in a climate-controlled facility and offers ongoing training and a collaborative environment. You’ll join a team focused on customer confidence, quality workmanship, and adherence to EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by state/local law (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2)
