Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic at our Bangor site. You will service and repair vehicles, perform diagnostics and handle complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements, and diagnose electrical systems.

Requires Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time served) and a full UK driving licence with ≤9 points. An uncapped bonus scheme and strong progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience as Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles as part of daily duties.
• Carry out diagnostics and complex repairs (clutches, timing belts, brakes, electrical).
• Perform replacement work on components such as coolant injectors and head gaskets.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and contribute to team goals.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
