Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Mid-Level Vehicle Systems Technician to support a vehicle systems program in Mountain View. The role emphasizes documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and system support, with focus on electrical systems, wire harnesses, and system software.

Candidates from automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics, or similar technical fields are encouraged; automotive experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Technician experience in automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics, or similar technical fields.
• Experience working in a lab or shop environment with tool and inventory management.
• Team player with ability to document and follow procedures.
• Proficiency with hand tools and electrical test equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic, logging, flashing, or network analysis tools.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot wire harnesses, diagrams, schematics, and pinouts.
• Use OEM or system‑level tools to read diagnostics, logs, and system status.
• Navigate documentation and databases to locate procedures and record results.
• Support system validation activities and assist with issue resolution with cross‑functional teams.
