Job summary

Frontier Communications in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair of engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems on fleet equipment. Qualifications

• Must possess color vision to perceive color differences.
• Ability to distinguish audible tones and levels.
• May require a valid unrestricted California CDL (Class B) depending on vehicle.
• Must have a valid Smog Check Mechanic's Certificate at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance checks and repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Service tires, batteries, lubricate chassis, and inspect components per schedule.
• Overhaul starters, generators, and alternators and maintain service records.
• Work up to a 2nd/3rd shift and occasional weekends as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and assist with additional duties as required.
