Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a Receiving Clerk to inspect incoming vehicles and cargo, enter data into tablets, and secure loads for transport. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and basic computer skills. A valid driver’s license and forklift certification within 90 days are preferred.

Starting rate is $22 per hour. This is a full-time, outdoor position with opportunities for growth and daily benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a receiving clerk in an industrial environment such as warehouse or marine terminal receiving cargo/vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Basic reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to process alpha/numeric information.
• Able to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Receive transporters and assist during check-in.
• Scan booking numbers to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect incoming vehicles and enter information and photos into the tablet.
• Record discrepancies and damages on Dock Receipt and tablet.
• Document with date received, booking number, serial number and D/R number.
• Load/drive vehicles into containers/car racks and secure with ramps and straps.
