Job summary

Cox Automotive in Kansas City is seeking a Vehicle Photographer I to capture and process professional images of vehicles for ECRs, uploading photos and verifying quality. You will follow SOPs, maintain knowledge of the DQI website, and request re-imaging when needed.

Additionally, you’ll assist with Photo Booth operations where available, actively participate in safety initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned by management. This is an on-site, day shift role with base hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Generally, <2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Previous detail shop or buffing experience helpful.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Regularly stand, walk, reach, talk and hear; comfortable with physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and process electronic images of vehicles.
  • Upload all pictures associated with ECRs and verify photo quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain knowledge of Digital Quality Image (DQI) website.
  • Re-image or request re-imaging of substandard images.
  • Process vehicles through the Photo Booth following SOPs if location supports it.

Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $15.10 - $22.69/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description
  • Capture and process electronic images of vehicles.
  • Upload all pictures associated with electronic condition reports (ECR) and verify the quality and accuracy of each photograph.
  • Maintain knowledge of Digital Quality Image (DQI) website.
  • Re-image or request re-imaging of any substandard images.
  • Process vehicles through the Photo Booth following available standard operating procedures (SOPs) if location is so equipped.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Previous experience in detail shop or buffing experience helpful.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Medium strength: ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.).
  • Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.

Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazard and toxic or caustic chemicals.

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
