Job summary

State of Ohio is seeking a Vehicle Operator 2 at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center in Ohio to transport passengers and materials, operate buses and vans, and perform basic vehicle maintenance with safety reporting. This full-time role features a 40-hour work week and union representation by OCSEA.

The position requires a valid CDL, knowledge of driving rules, and the ability to inspect vehicles, complete mileage and fuel reports, and participate in training.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication & division; reading, writing & speaking English.

• Operates passenger bus (i.e., 23 or more passengers) to transport passengers (e.g., students, consumers, residents, personnel) to & from Mount Vernon Developmental Center for various activities (e.g., athletic activities, educational programs & functions, training programs, field trips, chartered events, medical appointments, other institutional activities).
