Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Logistics Specialist I to handle vehicle intake at the auction site in Michigan. You will input and verify vehicle details, VINs and stock numbers, attach labels, and ensure proper tagging and routing within the facility.

The role emphasizes safety, daily outside work, and coordination with transporters. A valid license and basic computer skills are required, with the position involving lifting and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration into the system using a handheld computer.
• Record Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Job Description

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration into the system using a handheld computer (zebra TC) for each vehicle received at the auction.
• Vehicle identification number (VIN).
• Stock number Dealer identification number make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• associate and install OBDII tracking device.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required
• Basic computer skills required
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: This is an outside position with exposure to the weather elements in Michigan.
