Job summary

Linde Inc. in Garland, TX is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues across engines and electrical systems, and carry out preventative maintenance to keep equipment reliable and compliant with standards. The role requires at least three years of CV maintenance experience, ASE certifications or equivalent, and a preference for CDL Class A or B.

Qualifications

• Three years of commercial vehicle maintenance experience across engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspensions, and braking systems.
• Hold Automotive Service Excellence certifications or equivalent expertise and pursue ongoing training.
• CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Demonstrates safety-focused approach with organized workspace.
• Communicates repair recommendations clearly to management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical systems, safety features, and overall vehicle condition.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across engines, transmissions, suspensions, braking systems, and electrical components.
• Perform repairs and replacements on tires, brakes, bearings, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and HVAC components.
• Execute preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, lubrication.
• Test vehicle systems after repair to ensure functionality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation, communicate repair recommendations, schedule warranty work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.

• In this role you will diagnose and resolve issues across engines,

• You shall perform timely repairs and replacements on tires, brakes,
  bearings, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems to reduce downtime
• Execute preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter
  replacements, fluid checks, and precise lubrication to extend equipment service life
• Additionally test vehicle systems after repair to guarantee functionality and compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements
• Manage accurate service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation,
  communicate repair recommendations to management, schedule warranty work with equipment manufacturers
• You will uphold a clean and organized work environment
  while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials
