Job summary

Linde Inc. in Loveland, CO is seeking a Heavy Truck & Trailer Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial vehicles and gas plant equipment.

The role requires at least 3 years in an industrial setting, preferably with chemical plant experience; strong safety culture and ability to work nights or weekends as needed; proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years in an industrial environment; chemical plant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Hazardous Work Permit requirements and MOC processes.
• Experience with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical systems, safety features and vehicle condition to ensure roadworthiness.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical components using structured troubleshooting.
• Perform timely repairs and replacements on tires, brakes, bearings, and fuel/hydraulic systems; maintain HVAC components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance including oil changes, filters, fluids, and lubrication to extend equipment life.
• Maintain accurate service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation; communicate repair recommendations to management.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You
  will conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical systems, safety
  features, and overall vehicle condition to keep assets reliable and
  roadworthy
• In this role you will diagnose and resolve issues across engines,
  transmissions, suspension systems, braking systems, and electrical components
  using structured troubleshooting
• Further, you shall perform timely repairs and replacements on tires, brakes,
  bearings, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air
  Conditioning systems to reduce downtime
• Execute preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter
  replacements, fluid checks, and precise lubrication to extend equipment
  service life
• Test vehicle systems after repair to guarantee functionality
  and compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory
  requirements
• Also, manage accurate service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation,
  communicate repair recommendations to management, schedule warranty work with
  equipment manufacturers, and uphold a clean and organized work environment
  while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of
  tools, equipment, and hazardous materials

What makes you great

• You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate in Applied Sciences degree or equivalent apprenticeship is preferred
• Bring a minimum of three years (3) of experience in an industrial environment, with chemical plant and industrial gas plant experience strongly preferred
• Possess working knowledge of chemical plant operations, with a preference for industrial gas plant processes
• Have experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Hazardous Work Permit requirements and Management of Change (MOC) processes
• Moreover, communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and exhibit strong teamwork, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• You are a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results with minimal supervision
• Maintain a positive attitude, adapt effectively to changing circumstances, and build productive relationships across departments and functional teams
• Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and effectively utilize these tools to support operational and reporting needs
• Support a 24/7 operating environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and respond to plant emergencies, outages, shutdowns, and turnaround activities as required. Verse perspectives are respected
