Job summary

Clean Harbors in Clive, UT/Grassey Mountain is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet. The role requires heavy equipment experience and offers compensation of $35–$45 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment is required (1+ years).
• DOT inspection experience is required (1+ years).
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications are preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background, drug and physical tests on hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the priority and follow all safe work practices.
• Move company equipment safely on the yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing vehicle issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Complete daily checklists as required.
• Ensure equipment is parked/secured per DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Clean Harbors Clive, UT/Grassey Mountain is looking for a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet. This position requires someone with Heavy Equipment experience, pay is based on experience $35-45 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed;
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues;
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment;
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery;
• Complete daily checklist as required
• Assure that Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work in a team environment
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required)
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire
