Purpose: As a vehicle maintenance mechanic you will be the on-site mechanic for Kimbel's fleet trucks and trailers. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Perform basic mechanic duties, which include but are not limited to: oil changes, rotating and replacing tires, replacing batteries and light bulbs, trailer repair, etc.
- Upload all receipts related to vehicle maintenance and repairs for 140+ vehicles
- Set up appointments with dealerships and other mechanics for repairs, warranty items, and maintenance
- Picking up and dropping off vehicles for repair or warranty work
- Travel to other Kimbel warehouse locations to assist, including out of state locations
- Assist in warehouse duties in times when mechanical job is slow
- 1 week training in Fayetteville, Arkansas, will be required.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills for record keeping
- Possess basic mechanic tools
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Experience with welding preferred
- Ability to pull and back a trailer, or be willing to learn
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Effective communication with internal employees, external vendors, and suppliers
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic that you display daily
- Ability to multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen

Salary: $27 - $32 per hour
