Purpose: As a vehicle maintenance mechanic you will be the on-site mechanic for Kimbel's fleet trucks and trailers. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Perform basic mechanic duties, which include but are not limited to: oil changes, rotating and replacing tires, replacing batteries and light bulbs, trailer repair, etc.
• Upload all receipts related to vehicle maintenance and repairs for 140+ vehicles
• Set up appointments with dealerships and other mechanics for repairs, warranty items, and maintenance
• Picking up and dropping off vehicles for repair or warranty work
• Travel to other Kimbel warehouse locations to assist, including out of state locations
• Assist in warehouse duties in times when mechanical job is slow
• 1 week training in Fayetteville, Arkansas, will be required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for record keeping
• Possess basic mechanic tools
• High level of mechanical aptitude
• Experience with welding preferred
• Ability to pull and back a trailer, or be willing to learn
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Effective communication with internal employees, external vendors, and suppliers
• Attention to detail
• Strong work ethic that you display daily
• Ability to multitask
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
