Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair preferred; personal experience acceptable.
• Welding experience and willingness to learn wire feed welding on the job.
• Ability and interest in becoming DOT Certified (preferred).
• Proficiency with basic math, reading data trends, and recording information.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to follow manuals or instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and inspections on trailers and facility vehicles including semi-trucks, yard trucks, forklifts, and skid steers.
• Complete preventative maintenance such as oil and filter changes, fluids and brake/tire inspections.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs.
• Document materials used and time spent; coordinate with managers and parts coordinators.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment as needed; maintain a clean workspace.
• Occasionally assist in transporting vehicles to external repair shops.
