Job summary

CarHop is seeking an automotive general technician in Maplewood, MN. You will perform pre-delivery inspections, diagnose basic vehicle issues, and assist with light repairs. You will also help maintain the lot, detail vehicles, and coordinate with repair vendors for more complex work.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, basic mechanical skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pre-delivery inspection of vehicles.
• Identify/diagnose basic mechanical or electrical issues.
• Complete light repairs (batteries, bulbs, fluids) when appropriate.
• Coordinate with repair vendors for complex repairs.
• Transport vehicles to auctions or repair shops as needed.
• Detail vehicles and deliver parts to shops when required.
• Maintain vehicles on lot and document recon activities in the inventory system.
