Job summary

State-of-Iow is seeking an intern to support the VIP team with dealer licensing transactions, bond reviews, and rate setting related to vehicle registration. The role collaborates with the Manager and other program staff to ensure compliant processing of applications, renewals, and administrative actions.

The position offers 20 hours per week during school semesters and up to 40 hours during school breaks, with start dates in Jan or May 2027.

Qualifications

• Majors related to legal or public administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transact dealer licensing functions: applications, bond reviews, admin actions, renewals and issuance of in-transit tags.
• Add vehicle weight/list price for registration and perform vehicle maintenance as requested by county treasurer offices or dealers.
• Process applications for emergency vehicle authorization certificates.
• Maintain all transaction records in accordance with policy.
