Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is hiring for a hardware-focused role in the Stage Manufacturing team. You will own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery, shaping processes and ensuring quality across subassemblies and integrated systems.

You will develop build flows, work instructions, and test procedures, supporting first article builds in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with design, supply chain, and production is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or a related technical field and 2+ years of hands-on hardware experience in manufacturing or integration.
• Able to investigate hardware issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Familiar with assembly and test procedures, tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, and leak checks.
• Comfortable collaborating across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to ensure quality and schedule alignment.
• Self-starter who can define and roll out new processes with technicians, engineers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery across subassemblies and integrated systems.
• Develop and release detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures for repeatable, high-quality execution.
• Support first article builds, focusing on manufacturability, repeatability, and scalable processes for higher production rates.
• Provide hands-on floor support during build and test, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement.
• Coordinate across design, supply chain, production, and test teams to ensure part readiness and schedule alignment.
• Contribute to long-term manufacturing systems and infrastructure, including tooling strategies and ERP/MES workflows.
