Job summary

Firefly Aerospace seeks a Vehicle Final Integration Engineer to oversee the integration of avionics, propulsion, and structural final assemblies. You will manage vehicle transport to the launch pad and work closely with engineering and technician teams to ensure robust, reliable integration.

You will influence integration operations, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and rapid turnaround while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace vehicle integration or related engineering.
• Experience with system-level testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering tools for integration analysis.
• Hands-on experience with aerospace hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft integration and DFMA principles.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle integration activities across structural, mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems.
• Develop and execute integration plans, procedures, and timelines for assembly and testing.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to ensure proper hardware integration.
• Provide hands-on support with technicians and engineers during integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to protect project timelines.
• Contribute to best practices for system integration, testing, and verification.
• Support environmental and functional tests on integrated aerospace vehicles.
• Document procedures, lessons learned, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (NASA/FAA/DoD/AS9100).
