Job summary

America's Auto Auction Phoenix is seeking a Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer to perform detailed inspections and complete cosmetic and mechanical condition reports for auction vehicles. This role requires documenting damages, photographing details, and coordinating reconditioning steps while maintaining safety and quality standards.

No prior experience is required as training will be provided; candidates must be at least 21, possess a valid driver's license, and be comfortable working outdoors

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and complete accurate cosmetic and mechanical condition reports.

• Remove personally identifiable information (PII) from vehicles.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.

Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer

Growing national auto auction! Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer needed for our Phoenix auction! The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team. No experience is required. Training will be provided. The ability to be outside and on your feet most of the time is required for the success of this role.

Prior experience with frame/structural detection experience is a plus. Experience as one of the following is preferred: Auction Condition Writer, Automotive Repair, Rental Car Damage Inspector, Insurance Appraiser/Adjuster, Collision/Body Shop Estimator or related Automotive Inspector experience.

Work hours for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer

• Monday - Friday
• 7AM - 4PM or 8AM - 5PM
• Occasional Saturday as needed
• Overtime is required at times but not guaranteed

• Travel locally as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management.

• Need to pass pre-employment screening.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for the duration of employment.
• Good driving record.
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions and outdoor settings.
