Job description

This is a temporary position with no leave or retirement benefits. Temporary employees working an average of 30+ hours/week may be eligible for health insurance under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). For more info, visit www.shpnc.org.

Job Details

1. Hourly Rate: $26.00 (based on education and experience)
2. Location: Department of Adult Correction, 200 Leagan Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603
3. Position: Operating a tractor-trailer for deliveries across North Carolina
4. Responsibilities include:

• Loading, unloading, and security of materials
• Checking quantities against delivery tickets
• Completing paperwork
• Performing routine maintenance on tractor trailers
• Other warehouse duties

Qualifications

• North Carolina Class A CDL License with a clean driving record
• Experience operating tractor-trailers in various conditions
• Knowledge of federal DOT and state requirements
• Experience hauling diverse supplies and materials
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• Necessary licenses or certifications for vehicle operation
