Job summary

Exponent seeks a Vehicle Engineer (MS/PhD) for its Vehicle Engineering Practice in Tampa, FL and Atlanta, GA. You will analyze accidents, evaluate design and safety, and grow your consulting practice within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), hands-on measurement experience, and strong communication skills to deliver technical insights to varied audiences. Travel to client sites will be needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (with thesis) or Ph.D. in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering focus required.
• US work authorization; no immigration sponsorship needed.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and vehicles; hands-on measurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation to completion and communicate updates to team and clients.
• Perform original research to advance accident reconstruction/automotive technology knowledge.
• Develop automotive expertise in design, performance, and reconstruction of transportation accidents.
• Travel for site, scene, vehicle, and equipment inspections.
• Prepare reports and present findings to diverse audiences.
• Occasionally work overtime to meet client needs.
