Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Auburn Hills, MI invites a Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer to help shape vehicle dynamics development through test feedback and ride/handling optimization.

You will drive vehicle tests, collaborate with simulation engineers, and guide programs toward requirements based on objective data and subjective evaluation. A BS in engineering (ABET) is required; MS is preferred. Strong communication and multi-project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from ABET accredited university or equivalent.
• Suspension architecture and development experience.
• Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development Experience.
• Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience from cross functional interaction.

Position Description

• The Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer plays an integral part in the vehicle dynamics development by providing feedback to programs based on test results.
• Besides driving and testing vehicles, close communication with simulation engineers is important to help guide the program towards the requirements.
• Experience from proving grounds and tuning vehicles based on subjective evaluation is required.
• Hence, deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and their effect on ride and handling is important.

Qualifications

• Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
