Job summary

LanceSoft in Foster City, CA is seeking a Vehicle Dynamics CAE Engineer to develop high-fidelity multibody vehicle dynamics models and collaborate with design teams for ride and handling optimization.

The role focuses on CAE tools (MSC Adams, CarMaker, Matlab/Simulink), test correlation, and analytical evaluation to deliver a robust, controllable vehicle platform. This is a 6+ month assignment with on-site work.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in vehicle dynamics.
Experience in vehicle dynamics performance development and simulation.
Experience with MSC Adams, CarMaker and Matlab/Simulink CAE tools.
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Knowledge of Dynamics CAE to test correlation.
Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high fidelity multibody vehicle dynamics models using MSC Adams.
Collaborate with design team to improve component delivery for ride and handling.
Generate suspension, full vehicle and loads as per process.
Develop vehicle dynamics metrics and targets using tests and CAE data.
Support performance balancing with Vehicle Integration Attributes and software controls.
Support active safety performance development and validation.
Correlate simulation results with measurements and improve accuracy.
