Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an Automotive Diagnostic Validation Technician in Allen Park, MI to support testing and validation of advanced vehicle diagnostic and remote service technologies. This hands-on contract role suits automotive technicians with strong diagnostic skills who enjoy troubleshooting and collaborating with engineering teams.

You will perform vehicle-based validation testing, verify diagnostic software functionality, and record results while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

Automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
Ability to interpret diagnostic information and communicate findings to engineering teams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with vehicle diagnostic tools and test equipment.
Ability to follow detailed test procedures and document results accurately.
Willingness to work onsite full-time in a garage environment.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle-based validation testing in a garage and testing environment.
Verify diagnostic software functionality and ensure vehicle systems operate as designed.
Support over-the-air (OTA) software update validation and recovery testing.
Execute remote diagnostic test procedures and accurately document results.
Work closely with engineers to identify issues, provide technical feedback, and improve diagnostic tools.
Record test results, observations, and troubleshooting data in designated systems.
Follow all garage safety procedures and testing protocols.
Participate in team-based validation activities involving multiple test vehicles.
