Job summary

The PACCAR Technical Center in Washington is hiring a Vehicle Software and Diagnostic Test Engineer to drive quality for the DAVIE4 Service Tool, supporting Kenworth and Peterbilt. You will perform vehicle and engine diagnostic software testing on test benches and in‑vehicle setups, and coordinate small to moderate projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications include a BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or CS and 3+ years engineering experience, with familiarity of CAN/J1939.

Qualifications

3+ years engineering experience required.
Familiarity with CAN/J1939 protocols and diagnostic testing.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle and engine diagnostic software testing using test benches and in‑vehicle setups.
Plan, coordinate, and execute small to moderate‑scope projects with minimal supervision.
Ensure all functionality is validated through executable test cases.
Recommend the most effective test method (bench or in‑vehicle) based on engineering judgment.
Validate defect fixes for closure and provide stakeholders with clear assessments of customer impact.
Foster strong communication and maintain productive working relationships across teams.
