Job Summary:

The Vehicle Detailer is responsible for preparing new and pre-owned vehicles in terms of appearance conditioning. This includes washing, vacuuming, and restoring interior, exterior, and under-hood cosmetics to ensure vehicles are in peak aesthetic condition. The role involves buffing, waxing, shampooing, and applying fabric protection, along with inspecting vehicles for defective parts or accessories. The Detailer may also drive vehicles around the lot and to nearby shops for specialized work, and replace minor parts or perform touch-ups as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, mechanical aptitude, detailing experience, and a strong work ethic.

Essential Functions:

Includes tasks, knowledge, skills, and characteristics necessary for the role, such as vehicle washing, conditioning, waxing, managing supplies, documenting work, and transporting vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash and condition vehicles, including tires, wheels, undercarriage, and under-hood components
• Vacuum, shampoo, and apply fabric/leather conditioners
• Wax, polish, buff, and recondition exteriors
• Manage and restock detailing supplies
• Document all work activities
• Transport vehicles within lot and to/from shops for repairs
• Follow all safety and company policies

Physical Demands:

Includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting (50-75 lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting/smelling, and vision requirements.
