Our Fleet & Facilities Maintenance Department is an integral part in the everyday operations of Intercity Transit. They ensure that our vehicles are working efficiently as riders are safely transported to where they need to go. Thenthis position if for you!We are looking for several highly skilled and energetic professional to join our team as a
Vehicle Detailer. This position is full-time and will be responsible for the routine cleaning of Intercity Transit revenue service vehicles. Work hours may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The selected candidate must be able to work within this non-traditional schedule. This position is classified as safety-sensitive under Intercity Transit’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and is included in the random drug and alcohol testing program.

- Routine cleaning of bus, van, and automobile interiors and exteriors.
- Cleaning work areas.
- Preparing cleaning materials.
- Responding to urgent cleaning needs in vehicles and facilities.
- Perform other related duties.
Are you the one we are looking for?
- High school diploma or GED desirable.
- One (1) year experience in commercial car wash, detailing, janitorial, custodial, or related experience desirable; combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Must be able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License; must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
- Must be willing to submit to a post-job-offer employment-related physical examination to include a drug screen, as well as a criminal background investigation, the results of which must meet the agency’s hiring criteria.

- This position is eligible for a $225 shoe allowance per year.
- 12 to 25 vacation days per year, depending upon the eligibility date and length of service.

- Intercity Transit will reimburse employees up to $200 per year for the cost of prescription safety glasses upon presentation of a receipt.
- Vehicle detailers are a part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) bargaining unit and will be eligible for union membership.
