Job summary

External SA Recycling in Gainesville, GA is seeking a De-Pollution Laborer to safely remove fluids from end-of-life vehicles before crushing. You will work on the vehicle de-pollution rack, drain fluids, and assist in loading, processing, and disassembly of scrap metal while keeping safety and EPA/OSHA guidelines in focus.

This outdoor, all-weather role requires reliable work ethic, punctuality, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to learn new tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Drain all vehicle fluids using specialized extraction machinery.
• Extract chemicals from discarded appliances using specialized machinery.
• Work on vehicle de-pollution rack to remove fluids from vehicles before crushing.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load items.
• Sort materials into appropriate containers for recycling.
• Conduct daily inspections of de-pollution racks, tools, and storage tanks; report defects or repairs.
