Job summary

PACCAR Electronics is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Kirkland, WA team and support Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicle platforms. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, validate, and implement cybersecurity for ECUs, vehicle networks, and connected systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with standard business software tools.
• Ability to learn new technologies and engineering practices.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Support threat analysis, risk assessments, and cybersecurity reviews.
• Define and maintain cybersecurity requirements and validation criteria.
• Execute cybersecurity verification and validation activities.
• Perform testing of CAN/J1939 networks, secure boot, secure flashing, authentication, encryption, and diagnostic access controls.
• Investigate cybersecurity issues and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to implement cybersecurity requirements.
• Review supplier cybersecurity deliverables and support compliance efforts.
• Support vehicle integration, product launches, field investigations, and process improvements.
