Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an Application Software Engineer - Embedded Systems in Bellevue, WA. You will lead DevOps initiatives to enable scalable, high-quality embedded software development, architect CI/CD pipelines, automate builds/tests, and drive engineering processes.

Collaborate across software, systems, and verification teams to accelerate development cycles, strengthen traceability, and support ASPICE goals and best practices. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in development & release of automotive or CV software.
• Proficient with MATLAB and/or Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain internal applications, dashboards, and developer tools.
• Develop embedded software models using MATLAB/Simulink/State flow for ECUs.
• Integrate unit, integration, and regression tests, static analysis, code coverage, and quality reporting.
• Review and implement software modifications to repair defects discovered during validation and testing.
• Monitor pipeline performance and improve reliability, speed, and resource usage.
• Work with system/software architects on software requirements specs.
• Design and release embedded systems software and software architecture for heavy trucks.
• Design interfaces, APIs, databases, and services for engineering automation and workflows.
• Travel up to 10%.
