Job summary

CarMax in Murrieta, CA is seeking a Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II to ensure every vehicle meets CarMax quality standards. You will perform inspections, final checks, and advanced cosmetic tasks such as paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing to restore each car's appearance.

In this role you will support auction readiness, assist with vehicle movement, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while delivering strong customer service and working with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Completion of CarMax training programs.
• Ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills for customer and team interactions.
• Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Execute standardized cosmetic reconditioning processes.
• Perform advanced cosmetic repairs including paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing.
• Complete cosmetic and final quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet standards.
• Identify defects and determine best repair methods for optimal results.
• Support auction preparation and assist with vehicle movement on and off the lot.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, collaborate with team, and assist with vehicle movement.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
