Position: We’ll Buy Your Car (WBYC) In-Store Associate

The WBYC Associate will be focused and specifically trained to acquire additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting outside of the AutoNation Customer Network. This role involves utilizing all available prospecting resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicle, including third-party websites, lead sources, service drive traffic, and more. The Associate will interact with customers throughout the day, both in person and over the phone, primarily making cold contacts with prospects who have their vehicle advertised for sale online or as walk-ins.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Review vehicle condition reports
2. Determine wholesale and retail prices
3. Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite
4. Create and execute reconditioning plans to prepare vehicles for sale
5. Research, evaluate, and make offers on vehicles using sound judgment and interpersonal skills
6. Drive incremental business through high-level engagement with customers
7. Turn prospective Vehicle Procurement Customers over to an “elite” sales team for further sales opportunities
8. Work with management to identify current inventory needs

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals
3. Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
4. Strong communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills
5. Organizational and follow-up skills
6. Experience with technology and a desire to work with it
7. Valid in-state driver’s license and a safe driving record
