The preferred Candidate has Vehicle maintenance experience as well as Small Engine mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic and some Diesel Mechanic experience, having a Chauffeur's or CDL A or B license and state mechanic licenses will get youpriority for this role.

Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as a Mechanic (Diesel Tech, small engine and Heavy Equipment mechanic experience preferred).
• Valid State-Issued Chauffeur’s License required; CDL A or B preferred.
• State of Michigan Diesel or Mechanic Certifications required (ASE Certifications preferred).
• MDOT Medical Card required, including a federally mandated drug test.
• Resume must include relevant work experience, licenses, and certifications for consideration.
  
  

Training Opportunity: While the experience levels listed above are strongly preferred, we may be willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation

• $20 – $35 per hour for experienced candidates.
• Candidates requiring training may receive a lower starting rate and likely not on higher than $25 per hour.
  
  

You’d Be Responsible For

• Performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of large and small engines
• Providing information and reports on equipment
• Ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times
  
  

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have

• Minimum 2 years of experience with basic truck and vehicle maintenance and repair
  
  

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Small engine, 2 cycle experience
• Diesel Engine, heavy and light equipment experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Welding experience
