Job summary

Duke Energy is hiring for Vegetation Management roles in the Carolinas West region, with multiple Ops Centers and mobile field assignments. The entry-level to mid-level positions focus on contractor oversight, safety, and coordinating vegetation programs to improve system reliability and regulatory compliance.

Selected candidates will be assigned based on business needs to various Ops Centers across NC/SC. Travel is required; relocation is applicant-managed.

Qualifications

• Experience in vegetation management or utility VM programs.
• Certification as ISA Arborist is preferred.
• Pesticide Applicator License within 1 year.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage vegetation management projects with oversight from VM management.
• Assist in developing work plans and budgets for VM areas.
• Monitor contractor performance for safety, procedures, and productivity.
• Support regulatory communications with state/Federal agencies and stakeholders.
• Perform and supervise inspections and patrols of rights-of-way to ensure reliability.

Associate Degree in Engineering/Forestry/Technical Discipline

High School Diploma with relevant experience

Bachelor's with 0-1 years of Electrical/VM Experience
