Vegetation Management Inspector | Placerville, CA

Join us at ACRT Pacific as a Vegetation Management Inspector | Placerville, CA.

ACRT Pacific, LLC is seeking energetic, entry-level professionals who enjoy working outdoors and are interested in gaining experience in forestry-related fields. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, biology, environmental studies, conservation, or related disciplines.

As a Vegetation Management Inspector, your duties will include patrolling hazard trees, performing identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines, and submitting inspection reports with recommendations. You will also coordinate activities of tree clearance crews, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and support emergency response efforts.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive and requires adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing circuit patrols according to annual VM plans and standards.
• Identifying and prescribing tree work along PG&E rights-of-way.
• Notifying property owners and obtaining necessary permissions for tree work.
• Supporting VM projects, including field assessments and inspections.
• Ensuring compliance with permits and environmental regulations.
• Documenting work using electronic devices and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; valid Class C driver’s license.
• One year of related arboricultural experience, ISA certification, or relevant college degree.
• Reside within 50 miles of Placerville, CA.

• Knowledge of local trees, ability to read maps, and work in rugged terrain.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage: $39.27, with additional benefits including a daily subsistence payment and potential benefits depending on employment specifics.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Operations division. It is a full-time, non-exempt, unionized role.
