Job Title: Foreperson

This position ensures the productivity of daily operations, working closely with management to determine recruiting/hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols. The Foreperson is responsible for troubleshooting routine job site issues, engaging all employees/contractors in required training, managing, and mentoring.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  1. Plan, coordinate, and assign daily work for crew based on instructions from supervisors.
  2. Conduct field training and re-training for crew members.
  3. Enforce safety practices and conduct safety training per OSHA and company policies.
  4. Communicate with property owners regarding work permissions and issues.
  5. Maintain good customer relations and effective communication.
  6. Investigate and settle minor incident and damage claims as delegated.
  7. Maintain accurate records of work, timesheets, and reports.
  8. Control crew costs and optimize resource use.
  9. Report on completed work, incidents, and equipment issues.
  10. Coordinate with emergency services and manage safety barriers and signage.
  11. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good condition.
  12. Maintain compliance with DOT vehicle requirements.
  13. Stay informed on industry standards and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Understanding of electrical line diagrams and symbols.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to field conditions.
  • Valid CDL license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
  • Physical ability to work at heights, lift weights, and perform manual tasks.
  • No fear of heights.
Education & Experience
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Drug screening, background check, and MVR check may be required.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid CDL required.
Physical & Safety Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Work near energized power lines, in noisy environments, and at heights.
  • Wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
