Job summary

Bexar County PA seeks a Pesticide Operator to support Vector and Vegetation control in County rights of way and adjacent areas. You will operate and maintain equipment for road maintenance and apply pest-control chemicals on a schedule.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma and 2 years' experience in equipment operation and chemical application, with licensing/ certifications to apply products. Outdoor work in varied conditions is expected.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
Two years' experience operating light to medium road construction equipment.
Two years' experience in preparation and application of chemicals or pest control methods.

Responsibilities

Applies larvicide/adulticide on a scheduled basis to control mosquito population.
Applies herbicide on a scheduled basis to control vegetation.
Responds to daily calls concerning Vector or Vegetation control problems.
Maintains daily logs of chemicals used and locations.
Orders and maintains inventory of chemicals and supplies.
Operates equipment such as mosquito spraying gear, herbicide truck, mowers, forklifts.
