Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Sr IT Engineer (VDI) to design, deploy, and maintain our virtual desktop infrastructure. You will own the health and performance of our VDI and app publishing environment, collaborating with infrastructure and security teams to deliver a fast, reliable, and secure remote workspace for end users.

The role emphasizes operations, technology strategy, supplier management, and financial oversight within IT Enterprise Endpoint Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
• 8 years technical engineering experience.
• Experience administering VDI using Horizon and VMware
• Experience with security, access policies, and MFA in VDI environments

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the VDI environment including pools and image management.
• Contribute to technology strategy and roadmaps for infrastructure technologies.
• Plan and coordinate administrative, operational, and financial initiatives for the specialty area.
• Manage suppliers and vendors; track performance metrics and reporting.
• Assist with budget planning and cost optimization within the area.
