Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a VDC Specialist with remote US flexibility to turn complex drawings into precise 3D models using Revit and to connect trades across teams, resolving conflicts before construction begins.

You will work across Preconstruction, Project Management, VDC/BIM, Field, and Manufacturing to optimize materials, improve efficiency, and ensure schedules, safety, and budgets are met. This role offers growth and hands-on learning within RK’s integrated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Ability to work under indirect supervision.
• Knowledge of project plans, scopes, schedules, specifications, submittals, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team in delivering quality, productivity, and safety.
• Coordinate across Preconstruction, Project Management, VDC/BIM, Field, and Manufacturing to improve materials and fabrication, optimize projects before spool drawings, and mentor staff.
• Meet schedule, quality, efficiency, budget, inventory, and reporting requirements.
• Improve practices through teamwork and training.
• Check design intent and constructability before VDC/BIM kickoff.
• Find prefabrication, packaging, and delivery opportunities.
• Review and correct VDC/BIM drawings and models for quality and contract compliance; check fabrication drawings before shop delivery.
• Walk sites with Project Field Managers to capture best practices and material preferences.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• College/university degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Ability to work under indirect supervision.
• Knowledge of project plans, scope, schedules, specifications, submittals, and budgets; ability to assess revised materials and systems.
• Strong drafting and design knowledge, with clear, concise communication skills.
