Job summary

Design Hire LLC seeks a VDC Specialist to lead 3D modeling for mechanical systems and coordinate BIM across office and field teams. You'll review drawings, identify clashes, and support coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors.

Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 will help you manage constructability reviews and field support throughout commercial construction projects.

Qualifications

Design Hire is seeking a VDC Specialist to support mechanical and plumbing coordination for commercial construction projects. This role is a strong fit for someone with hands-on Revit experience, a mechanical design background, and the ability to help field and project teams catch issues before they impact installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate 3D models for mechanical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Review drawings, models, and field conditions to identify clashes, routing conflicts, and installation issues.
• Support BIM coordination meetings and communicate model updates with project teams, subcontractors, and field leadership.
• Use coordination software to manage layout, documentation, issue tracking, and constructability reviews.
• Assist with model updates, shop drawings, as-builts, and field support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical, HVAC, piping, or plumbing design experience required.
• Strong Revit experience required.
• Experience with Trimble layout tools preferred.
• Navisworks experience preferred.
• BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, mechanical plans, specifications, and field documentation.
• Experience supporting commercial construction, MEP coordination, or building systems projects preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work with both office and field teams.
