Job summary

SJS VDC, Inc. seeks a VDC (Virtual Design Construction) Project Lead to drive electrical construction modeling from kickoff to deliverables. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, and team performance, coordinating with contractors, field personnel, and fabrication teams to ensure constructible, accurate models.

Ideal candidates bring experience in Revit, BIM/VDC technologies, and multi-trade coordination, with a proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND/OR significant experience in Electrical Construction, Electrical Engineering, VDC/BIM, or related field.
• Experience with Revit and BIM/VDC technologies.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and interpret construction documents.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Strong leadership and communication in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple electrical VDC projects, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, manpower, and client expectations.
• Review contract documents and develop project execution plans that align modeling activities with project requirements and construction objectives.
• Direct the development of constructible electrical models that support coordination, fabrication, prefabrication, and field installation.
• Lead multi-trade coordination efforts, identify and resolve clashes and constructability issues, and facilitate RFIs as needed to support project execution.
• Provide technical leadership to VDC production teams by establishing priorities, enforcing modeling standards, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and risks while communicating status, challenges, and solutions to customers, project teams, and company leadership.

As a VDC (Virtual Design Construction) Project Lead at SJS VDC, Inc., you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of multiple electrical construction modeling projects from project kickoff through final deliverables.

You will be responsible for overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, manpower, quality, and deliverables, while providing clear direction to the VDC production team. You will work closely with contractors, project teams, field personnel, fabrication teams, and SJS modelers to ensure the model accurately reflects the project requirements and can be effectively used for

Key Responsibilities

What We Need

Bachelor's degree AND/OR significant experience in Electrical Construction, Electrical Engineering, VDC/BIM, or a related field.

• Significant electrical construction experience with electrical VDC/BIM modeling and coordination, particularly in Revit.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, installation methods, coordination, and constructability.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, details, schedules, and construction documents while understanding prefabrication, shop drawings, and field installation requirements
• Experience with Revit and other BIM/VDC technologies such as AutoCAD MEP
• Experience with trade coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and schedule.
