Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a VDC Associate to support complex mission critical projects across the United States. The role emphasizes Revit modeling, coordination, and production delivery to ensure constructible models and shop drawings for field execution.

You will collaborate with senior VDC staff, contractors, and stakeholders to drive modeling standards, resolve constructability challenges, and improve workflows while growing your skills in a dynamic, data-center focused

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional VDC, BIM, or construction modeling experience.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Autodesk Revit in a production environment.
  • Experience modeling MEP systems.
  • Experience producing construction models and shop drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and apply design intent.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed Revit models and shop drawings for electrical systems.
  • Translate engineering design intent into coordinated, field-ready models supporting fabrication and installation.
  • Support project coordination efforts, including clash detection and model resolution using Navisworks.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with internal teams, contractors, architects, and design partners.
  • Coordinate model revisions, RFIs, and project deliverables while maintaining quality and schedule requirements.
  • Work across multiple linked models and disciplines to resolve constructability challenges.
  • Collaborate with senior VDC team members to improve modeling standards, workflows, and technical skills.

Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a VDC Associate to support the delivery of complex mission critical projects across the United States.

This role is ideal for a hands-on VDC professional with experience in Revit-based MEP modeling who is ready to take on greater production responsibility while continuing to grow their coordination and project-delivery skills. You'll work closely with senior VDC team members, contractors, and project stakeholders to produce coordinated, constructible models and shop drawings that support successful field execution.

Compensation
  • $75,000 - $90,000+ a year
  • Depending on location, experience, education, and skills
