Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior VDC Lead in Falls Church, VA to drive virtual design and construction initiatives across multiple projects. You will coordinate BIM processes, implement SOPs, and lead a team of managers and associates to ensure high-quality, on-schedule delivery.

The role requires deep BIM tool knowledge and a track record of leading cross-disciplinary coordination efforts, with strong communication and mentoring skills to guide staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of dedicated virtual design and construction experience.
• Experience leading and developing others, including managing or mentoring team leads.
• Experience allocating staffing and managing budgets across multiple concurrent projects.
• Proven success implementing virtual construction strategies on complex projects.
• Deep working knowledge of BIM tools and VDC processes.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk Forma, Synchro Pro, Adobe CC, Bluebeam, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination, clash detection, 4D sequencing, and model-based quality control.
• Integrate virtual construction methodologies into project delivery to create a competitive advantage.
• Lead managers and allocate time, people, and budgets across concurrent projects.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and SOPs for the department.
• Create federated coordination models and clash resolution across disciplines.
