Job summary

DPR Construction is looking for a Virtual Design & Construction Project Engineer to lead VDC processes across the region. You will support model-based project management and technology deployment for various business units.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in a pre-construction or VDC-related role.

Job Overview

Virtual Design & Construction Project Engineer – Self‑Perform. A successful candidate will lead development, implementation, and support of all VDC processes across the region, supporting model‑based project management, process workflows, and construction technology deployment for DPR business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and ongoing support of VDC processes across the region.
• Support established VDC initiatives utilized by project teams in the office and field.
• Execute and multi‑task VDC operations and processes on single projects.
• Administer and support VDC coordination kick‑off meetings and subsequent meetings.
• Configure project sites to host BIM data or other equitable platforms.
• Communicate ideas and information orally and in written form.

Required Experience

• Engineering or construction related field.
• Knowledge of RFI and submittal processes.
• Experience with concrete, drywall, or MEP architecture, engineering, or construction projects.
• 0-3 years of experience working in a pre‑construction, operations, or VDC‑related role.

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the AECO industry.
• Basic to intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and other platforms.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Autodesk BIM 360 Build products: Glue, Field, Docs.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of contractor‑facing authoring and collaboration tools such as Revit, Tekla, 3D AutoCAD MEP, etc.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks Manage and/or Simulate.
• Ability to quickly learn new software tools and teach others.
• Ability to work in a flat‑organization environment that requires full transparency, team collaboration, influencing, and socializing initiatives.
