Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a VDC Engineer to join our Raleigh-based Carolinas team. This hands-on role focuses on BIM modeling, coordination, and digital workflows, offering exposure to complex projects and opportunities for growth within our digital delivery practice.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in VDC/BIM with Revit and Navisworks, plus working knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM 360/ACC. Join a team dedicated to lean practices and safety-driven innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in VDC/BIM modeling and coordination.
Proficiency with Revit and Navisworks.
Working knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM 360/ACC.

Responsibilities

Model Coordination: support multi-trade coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and Revit.
VDC & BIM Support: contribute to BIM execution planning, model logistics, and data management.
Model Development: create, update, and maintain architectural, structural, and MEP models through design and construction phases.
MEP & Trade Integration: coordinate building systems with trade partners to resolve conflicts.
Technology & Platform Support: provide model-based support for documentation, coordination, and field use; assist with Procore and ACC workflows.
Quality & Accuracy: perform model checks to ensure accuracy and alignment with documents.
