Gilbane Building is seeking a VDC Engineer to perform constructability reviews and project coordination using BIM technologies. This hybrid role works from both office and project sites as needed to support project goals in NYC area.

You will engage in BIM coordination, laser scanning and drone support, and contribute to multi-disciplinary reviews. A strong foundation in BIM software and collaboration is expected to advance your career with Gilbane University resources.

Formación

• Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, BIM or related field.
• 0-1 years of VDC or BIM Coordination experience.
• Prior use of 3D design software is preferred.
• Or equivalent education and experience.

Responsabilidades

Responsibilities

• Utilizes 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges


• Combines all building discipline models into 3D design software coordination model


• Reviews coordination models for constructability issues utilizing the software’s clash detection capabilities


• Assigns responsible party(s) for issue resolution; verifies and documents with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models


• Communicates with internal and external project teams; facilitates meetings to resolve project issues, review schedules, or other project documentation


• Utilizes Reality Capture technology, such as laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables


• Participates in Business Unit (BU) office and department activities including orientation programs, training sessions, and peer group meetings


• Supports 1 VDC deliverable under supervision

Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or related field


• 0-1 years of VDC or BIM Coordination experience


• Prior utilization of 3D design software is preferred


• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For NYC, this ranges from $90,000.00-$115,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
