RK Industries is seeking a VDC Coordinator to bridge design and construction by organizing models and coordinating trades. You will ensure information flows across teams and work closely with Specialists and Project Leads to grow your project management and communication skills in a fast-paced virtual design environment.

Qualifications

• College/University graduate preferred with 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Firm understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and a 3-D drawing environments.
• DC/BIM experience directly related to the desired field preferred.
• Able to make decisions based on designs.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use software to create detailed 3D designs.
• Create batches/packets to be spooled for fabrication.
• Learn basics of HVAC, plumbing, and piping and the associated software.
• Draw file maintenance and prepare files or backgrounds for the designer/drafters to begin projects.
• Complete red line drawings, plotting drawings, and drafting tasks as needed to assist others.
• Manipulate and number ductwork and preparing files for download to the plasma cutter.
• Annotate drawings, place elevations, dimensions, and plotting to PDF format.
• Place 3D hangers on piping and ductwork systems.
• Coordinate with other trades and staff.
• Take charge of meetings and lead coordination efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
